The Bridge of Dreams, Built by Tom Coughlin

The New York Giants Coughin up the Home Opener.

The Banner was raised, the trophy was held, the air was filled with anticipation and excitement. Met Life stadium was juiced with the electric crowd.

Then those all too familiar "Regular Season" New York football Giants took the field.

The G-Men going down at home last night 24-17 just supports my argument: Rumble and tumble through the regular season with mediocre finishes, backing into the playoffs, followed by LUCKY playoff runs in which every possible thing falls into their favor.

All well and good since it gift wrapped you 2 Super Bowls. But come on Coach. Did you really expect your luck to carry over months later. Filling your guys with this false hope that you might actually act like a Super Bowl team in SEPTEMBER?! You did build a bridge, a bridge of dreams Coughlin.

Luck always runs out.

It wasn't surprising at all that the Giants came out and dropped a division home opener. They just dropped the ball, literally and figuratively. Maybe the Ghosts of Green Bay's receivers were exercising their demons from the playoff loss a year before were it seemed as if "stick em" couldn't help their lost cause.

Luck will expose you.

As expected, the Giants were nothing special. They weren't in the front pages of the New York Times all off-season for a reason. Celebrating yet another accidental Super Bowl victory got to their head. Just maybe, they thought, they could be a Super Bowl contending squad all year round.

Ask Cruz (3 drops) how it's turning out.

And Victor let me ask you something. Out of all the off-season moves, you managed to over shadow the ludicrous acquisition of Tim Tebow by writing an auto-biography. Is this not mind-blowing to anyone else?

Undrafted out of U Mass, lucky to even grace the field as a starter for the Giants (Do we see the trend yet guys?), had a great season, followed by an average post season.

Now you deem yourself worthy of an auto-biography? Well after your performance last night I can see why you put it out so early; your career might be on the downfall. It is truly incredible how a ring can distort a man's sanity to this magnitude.

It is safe to say your ignorance has coined you a nick name that will be hard to drop, even for you.
